  • ~21 BMGA Recursion Bomb is detonated in open country between major cities, placed for visibility rather than for a target. The radius is fixed at three thousand kilometers, seventeen clearings and eighty one million people cease to exist in under ten seconds, and no faction claims it. Witnesses in the surrounding cities, Thazahd among them, watch the violet wall stop short of them. Serious fighting ends across the planet. Zairen is eighteen.
  • ~20 BMGThe embed activates. The purge of the warlords begins and runs three years through people already in place.
  • 17 BMGThe last warlords are purged. The Warlord Eras end and the Post Warlord Period begins. Zairen is twenty two.

Defining Traits

  • The collapse of centralized control led to the uncontrolled rise of warlords.
  • Public executions, massacres broadcast across captured relays, and extreme humiliation became core tactics of territorial control.
  • Seraveth and Velcrith Vessels are targeted and killed by warlord factions to maintain narrative control of He Who Allows.
  • Zairen Vaul is born in Thazahd, twenty two years before the eras end.
  • Captured warlords were stripped of dignity before execution, often forced to confess their failures before being defiled in front of their own soldiers.
  • Live music performances took place on battlefields, with some artists continuing to sing even as they were executed.
  • Captured combatants were turned into art pieces: dismembered and arranged grotesquely, their remains broadcasted across public relays to break enemy morale.
  • Female warlords weaponized the gender imbalance, treating captured men as cattle, trophies, or tools of humiliation.
  • Several ancient relays are destroyed.
  • Shadow operatives fight under all banners to ensure the eventual return of stability.
  • The Recursion Bomb is deployed in open country between major cities, unclaimed by any faction, and no serious fighting takes place anywhere on the planet afterward.
  • The last warlords were captured and erased from history 17 years before the modern era.
  • All names, lineages, and records of warlord factions unable to escape to inland Thazvaar were systematically purged, ensuring they left no lasting legacy.

The Post Warlord Period

  • 17 BMG to MG 0Seventeen years with no standardized dating. Brannok'Drekan dies of heart failure shortly after the fighting ends. Reconstruction goes to the atrocity sites and Thazahd receives nothing, so Zairen stays in his birthplace and builds a stead, and then the settlement that gathers around it.
  • ~5 BMGVohk'tirrel, a Scout-Class deserter who evaded conscription for nearly twenty years alone in forests and ruins, comes in and stays. The friendship grows out of shared labor rather than belief.
