The Era of Imperial Conquest

~3,500 to ~3,000 Years Before Modern Geba

The empire turns outward and stops asking. Diplomacy with the Thazvaari Dominion collapses into open war, and for generations the Empire is the one losing it: overextended, outgunned on the ground, and bleeding emperors. Mid-conflict Venar'Tolarg is killed in northern Thazvaar and a child, Venar'Tal, takes the throne. He is why the war turns. Berinu is liberated because of him and joins by choice. Jeyrha comes in after the Dominion occupies its east, through Xerik Haavu and the cannon systems, not through conquest. Then he executes King Hies, takes the Dominion's queen, and drives the coast. The systematic execution of conquered males opens the wound that defines everything after: the gender ratio slips to five to one and keeps sliding.
