The Era of Shadow Rule

~1,500 Years Before Modern Geba to the Present

The empire is gone, but something still governs. Hidden rulers hold the planet together from the underworld, a new currency is set on the old Varen standard, and the Energy Wars begin. Geban Law is rewritten for the world that now exists: much of the original Rite House code is kept, but new statutes are added for the things it never imagined, the Engineered and the Vessels, weapons capable of destruction on a scale once thought impossible, and a financial landscape nothing like the one the first laws were written under. Then the Shadow Rulers step back to oversight and let the world decentralize, and the warlords begin testing the edges.
